The beginning
THE COLOMER GROUP is the result of the the coming together of two successful companies, leaders in their market segment: HENRY-COLOMER and REVLON, created by business leaders who practiced effective management and who had an advanced vision of business.
Below we have summarized some of the main milestones in the evolution of both companies in order to explain the our company.
The company HENRY-COLOMER was created in 1933 by José Colomer Ametller, who, upon his return to Spain, after a period in Paris from 1923, where he learned the profession of hairdresser and where he was in contact with the most advanced fashion trends, he created the company in order to distribute HENRY haircare products.
In 1943, after the Second World War, the commercial relations between Spain and other European countries were blocked and this drove José Colomer to create and develop his own products: that's how the first factory was born.
At the same time he created the first Hair and Beauty Schools to train future professionals and he organized galas and special sessions to inform hairdressers about the latest fashion advances.
The focus on quality and innovation in products and services, in a framework of complete customer service, were the keys to the commercial success of the company: it grew and expanded throughout Spain, opening sales branches and hairdressing and beauty schools.
